Born in Southwest Michigan, Cadence is a pure lake lover at heart.

Cadence Kempf is an eccentric personality born and raised in Southwest Michigan, now studying in New Orleans at Loyola University. Growing up in a small family business, {Lakeside Books}, she learned the values of retail, customer service, and work ethic from the age of eight. Surrounded by books and family, she developed a love for creativity long before pursuing it academically.

Outside of design, Cadence enjoys crafting, scrapbooking, journaling, and writing. She splits her time between Michigan and Louisiana, giving her the chance to experience a wide range of cultures, environments, and inspirations.

Cadence Kempf is a senior designer studying at Loyola University New Orleans, majoring in Design with a concentration in UX/UI and Interactive Design, while continuing coursework in Graphic Design. She is the freelance owner of CK Designs, where she aims to captivate audiences through intentional, experience-driven design.

Her professional path began after an internship with Whirlpool Corporation’s Corporate Social Responsibility team, where she served as their graphic designer. She has since expanded her experience as the graphic designer for Loyola’s Women’s Resource Center, contributed as a founding member of the university’s student-run design firm The Collective, and previously worked as a graphic designer for Loyola’s KPOP Dance Club. She also served as Art Director for The Maroon, Loyola’s student-run newspaper.
